About the Role
An exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced and qualified conservator to fill the role of Team Leader – Conservation. You will be based in the Liverpool Record Office, a nationally accredited archive service, within Liverpool Central Library.
The role of Team Leader – Conservation involves working with the Library Service Management Team to inform the development of archive and library strategies that also support the strategic aims of Liverpool City Council. In this role, you will manage the conservation studio within the Liverpool Record Office and conduct interventive conservation treatments to preserve the archives and special collections held by Liverpool Libraries and Information Services.
The Team Leader – Conservation role is a specialist, knowledge-based position that requires a relevant formal qualification or equivalent skills and experience in conservation, an ability to lead teams, and excellent organisational and communication skills.
