A grandmother of conservation working in the sector for 27 years. A great - grandmother of environmentalism with 51 years of experience. 

I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Cumbria researching Conservation Strategies at Historic Sites in Cumbria. I am dedicated to promoting sustainable conservation practice in and outside of the lab.

Alice Tate-Harte has been a Fine Art conservator at English Heritage for 14 years and cares for paintings, frames and gilded furniture in historic interiors. She trained at the Courtauld Institute in Easel Paintings Conservation and has an art history background. She volunteers for local sustainability groups where she lives in South East London.

Dr. Helen Wilson (MChem) ACR is a heritage scientist/preventive conservator at The National Archives and secretary for the Icon Heritage Science Group, with a PhD in heritage science from the University of Manchester and The British Museum (AHRC/EPSRC Science and Heritage Programme).

Recent projects include assessing the risk of climate change to The National Archives’ collection, creation of an environmental sustainability action plan for the Collection Care Department and research into more sustainable collection care practices.

 Sarah Potter is the Collections Care Manager at the Whitworth, University of Manchester.

With over two decades of experience in the heritage sector, Sarah began her career in archaeology in 2004 before specialising in sculpture conservation. Her professional practice is underpinned by an MSc in Conservation Practice (with distinction) from Cardiff University. Sarah is a passionate advocate for sustainability, integrating environmentally conscious methods into the care, conservation and management of collections.

Yadin Larochette is a textile conservator by training and has worked in business for the last decade. She currently serves the arts and cultural heritage sector in various capacities as an independent consultant. As co-chair of the American Institute for Conservation's Sustainability Committee and as a new member of Icon's Sustainability Group, she's keen to help individuals and institutions shift towards more sustainable practices.

Megan Robotham is a Textile Conservator at Soteria Conservation in London.

With a first-class honours degree in Fashion Design and Textiles and a background in Haute Couture, she has influenced how leading companies approach textile use and waste. Now focused on conservation, Megan applies her design expertise to preserving historic textiles and promoting a more sustainable future.
