Marta García Celma
Marta is a conservator of photographic materials and contemporary fine art. Marta holds a conservation and managerial position at the M+ Museum for contemporary visual arts in Hong Kong. She obtained a PhD under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network project "New Approaches in the Conservation of Contemporary Art" (NACCA), titled Assessing Reproduction as a Photograph Conservation Strategy. Marta has a key interest in outreach and advocacy for conservation and actively engages in the development of international networks and publications.
Nicole Devereux
Nicole trained as a Book Conservator at West Dean College. She has worked as a Project Conservator at The National Archives and Edinburgh University as well as completing an Internship at The National library of Ireland. Most recently she has worked as a Conservator at Birmingham University before setting up independently.
Jordan Megyery
Jordan is currently Associate Conservator of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Jordan holds an MA in the conservation of works of art on paper and a BA in fine art photography from Northumbria University, England, and her love for photography, specifically analogue photography, is what lead her to pursue a career in photograph conservation. Her conservation training includes internships at the Amsterdam City Archives, The Netherlands, The Center for Research Collections, Edinburgh, and an Icon internship in Photograph Conservation hosted by The National Archives and Tate Gallery, London. Jordan’s research interests are focused on the preservation of modern and contemporary photographic materials, particularly conservation issues related to fine art inkjet prints, and she enjoys participating in outreach and educational activities.
Lauren Ashley-Irvine
Lauren is a freelance photograph conservator in Munich and previously worked at the V&A and HRP, helping to preserve their photographic collections.
Stephanie Jamieson
Stephanie is a freelance conservator specialising in photographic materials. She completed her conservation training at Camberwell College of Arts before undertaking an Icon internship in the conservation of photographic materials at the National Library of Scotland. She has since worked as a conservator at the Glamorgan Archives in Cardiff and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Vanessa Torres
Vanessa is a conservator at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford. Where she developed a keen interest in photographic processes and materiality, their complexity and diversity, that keeps on fascinating her today. Vanessa is passionate about increasing awareness to the conservation of photographs practice by creating and delivering specialist training, giving talks and writing blogs. Outside the conservation world, Vanessa loves sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Sophie Courtiaud
Ioannis Vasallos
Ioannis is the Photography Conservator at Tate Gallery, UK. He holds an MA in Conservation from Camberwell College of Arts and completed an Advanced Icon Internship in Photography Conservation at the National Galleries of Scotland. Passionate about sharing knowledge, he regularly leads workshops and lectures on the care of photographic materials and promotes photographic conservation in the UK and abroad.
Paula Ogayar Oroz
Paula graduated as a photograph conservator holding a Master of science in Conservation and Restoration in Cultural Heritage and an Advanced Professional Programme certification from the University of Amsterdam in 2024. Currently, she is working at the Victoria and Albert Museum as part of the team responsible for the digitalisation of the Royal Photographic Society.
