Icon Accreditation is a robust, independent assessment of professional practice. It recognises conservator-restorers who can demonstrate that they meet Icon's Professional Standards and possess the knowledge, skills, judgement and ethical commitment required to deliver high-quality conservation work.
Achieving Accredited Conservator-Restorer (ACR) status shows clients, employers and peers that a conservator has evidenced their professional capability through a rigorous assessment process. Accreditation is open to conservators working across all areas of practice and provides independent recognition of professional competence.
Accreditation is not a one-time award. Accredited conservators are expected to maintain and develop their expertise through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and remain committed to Icon's Code of Conduct and Professional Standards. Regular review ensures that accredited practitioners continue to meet the standards expected of the profession.
For conservators, Accreditation is a mark of achievement and professional pride. For clients and employers, it provides confidence that an accredited conservator is operating to recognised professional standards.
