Bethany Procopio has held various roles in the cultural heritage sector for over 12 years, gaining competencies in not only diverse aspects of conservation-restoration, including remedial treatments, documentation and technical examination, and preventive conservation, but also curation, art logistics, and exhibitions installation, as well as public programming and teaching. Procopio studied BFA fine art (painting) at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, USA and finished her degree at l’Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence, Italy (2009). She completed her MA in Comparative Art and Archaeology at University College London (2010). She returned to study BA Conservation of Fine Art at the Hochschule der Künste, Bern, Switzerland (2019), and achieved her MA with distinction in the specialism Works of Art on Paper from Northumbria University, UK (2021). She has worked in various conservation studios internationally and is a member of the ICON, IIC, and YFCC.
