Heritage Science Group: Behind the Scenes: Conservation Science Lab Tour at Tate

The conservation science team at Tate is opening their lab doors to Icon members.

We warmly invite you to join us for an on-site tour of the AHRC Capability for Collections-funded Conservation Science and Preventive Conservation suite at Tate Britain in Pimlico, London. The Tate team will guide you through the new facilities and equipment, explain their collaboration with the Conservation and broader Tate teams, and discuss ongoing research into the materials and conservation treatments of modern and contemporary art.

Please note that there are two tours taking place. When booking, please ensure that you choose a ticket with your desired time slot. Tickets will not be interchangable.

Tour 1: 14:00 - 15:00

Tour 2: 15:30 - 16:30

The meeting point will be in front of the Tate Britain Staff Entrance on John Islip Street (right-hand corner of the parking area). A map will be provided to attendees ahead of the tour.
