Emerging Professionals Network: Inspiring Careers: Sophie McAloone

Come along to hear about the experiences of different conservators who are established in the field!

In this series, we want to introduce you to different conservators who are established in the field. Each talk will be led by a guest speaker who will tell you about their career, including how and why they got into conservation, what projects they have worked on, what challenges they have faced, and any advice they have for future conservators.

Our speaker for this session is Sophie McAloone. Sophie McAloone is an easel painting conservator and the conservation manager at Fine Art Restoration Company, which is a commercial conservation studio based in Cumbria and London. She studied History of Art at the University of Warwick and then went on to pursue a masters degree in the Conservation of Fine Art from the University of Northumbria. She works on a range of paintings from 16th century pieces on wooden panels up to contemporary mixed media artworks.

This event will not be recorded so make sure you don't miss out!
