Our first Coronavirus Impact report, published in April, presented a worrying situation for conservation professionals, with 90% of respondents reporting serious economic consequences arising from lockdown restrictions. Now that most of the country has returned to a state of lockdown, Icon is launching a second survey to gather further information and data on how the ongoing pandemic is affecting the conservation sector.
The survey aims to capture information specific to the conservation sector and its workforce across the UK. Reliable data and evidence on the impact on the sector enables us to develop effective response strategies. By filling out our short survey you are helping to inform Icon’s advocacy work and the support we provide for conservators.
Some questions refer to the previous survey to allow us to assess the course of the crisis, while others take into account how the situation has evolved in recent months. We have aimed to align questions to ONS Coronavirus surveying to ensure data can be cross-referenced to national reporting.
Icon is grateful to all members who have shared their experiences and case studies with us already. The more you can tell us, the more we can build an effective evidence base and coordinate support.
