Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is the guardian of one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most significant art collections, valued at over $460 million. We are seeking an experienced Objects / Time-based Media Conservator to play a critical role in the long-term care, preservation, and presentation of this nationally important collection.
This is a senior specialist role where your expertise will directly influence the longevity, value, and readiness for display of historical and contemporary artworks, including complex installations and time-based media. You will work closely with curators, artists, technicians, and external partners, and contribute to the Gallery’s reputation as a leader in conservation practice in New Zealand and internationally.
This role is permanent, full time.
