About the role
The British Museum is seeking a skilled and motivated Conservator specialising in Stone, Wall Paintings and Mosaics. This is a unique opportunity to help preserve, research, and support the display of some of the world’s most significant cultural heritage.
As a Conservator within the Stone Wall Paintings & Mosaics (SWPM) team, you will contribute to the care of the Museum’s collection through both interventive and preventive conservation. You will support upcoming loans, exhibitions, and long-term displays, as well as contributing to the redevelopment of the Western Range, while also taking part in departmental outreach and public engagement.
You’ll work collaboratively with specialists across the Museum, helping shape conservation strategies and contributing to key projects that ensure the preservation of globally important artefacts.
