Icon Members Launch Company to promote Sustainable Care of Heritage

A female led company based in Scotland, bringing together combined experience with a shared mission: to promote the sustainable care of heritage collections across the UK.

Their approach combines consultancy and practical on-site work, using Wilma’s strengths in sustainability, strategic conservation planning and environmental control/monitoring in historic collections along with Gille’s expertise in on-site collection conservation logistics, and fundraising in the heritage sector, to provide a truly seamless experience for our clients.

The intersection of preventive conservation and sustainability is particularly relevant today, as institutions move away from rigid, energy intensive climate controls toward more nuanced, passive, and resilient environmental management.

Their combined offering, blending hands on collections management with high level strategic and funding support, is both rare and highly valuable within the heritage sector.  

We are also pleased to confirm that Sustainable Heritage Conservation Ltd. will act as the main point of contact in Scotland for Conserv and will continue to support Hanwell systems.
