Emerging textile and objects conservator, originally from Canada. 2021 graduate of MPhil Textile Conservation at University of Glasgow with additional post-graduate training in organic and inorganic materials at Fleming College, Canada. Background in Fine Arts and Art History, with experience working with commercial contemporary art and artists in a museum environment.

I am an emerging textile conservator with academic training and experience in chemistry and scientific research. Currently in my final year as a postgraduate student at the University of Glasgow, my dissertation investigates the light-fading characteristics of the early synthetic organic dye, aniline blue.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hofi is an emerging textile conservator based in London, United Kingdom. His work centres on the material culture of dress, with a particular interest in its cultural context and historical significance. In recent years, he has focused on curatorial practice, archival work, and the conservation of costumes and textiles. His research interests include the conservation of fashion objects, costume mounting, and the interpretation and display of costume.

Hofi Man holds degrees from the University of Glasgow (MPhil in Textile Conservation, 2026), New York University (MA in Costume Studies, 2023), University of Brighton (MA in History of Design and Material Culture, 2020), Hong Kong Baptist University (BA in Visual Arts, minor in Humanities, 2016) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HD scheme in Fashion and Clothing, 2013.)

I am a textile conservator with a background in heritage conservation and collections care.
I hold a BA in Heritage Conservation and an MPhil in Textile Conservation from the University of Glasgow.
My experience includes working as a Collections Officer at INAH in Nayarit, Mexico, an internship with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and a placement at the Museum of London.
My interests include historic textiles, preventive conservation, and the care of complex and composite objects.
