Icon26 offers a valuable opportunity to come together to celebrate the work of professional conservator-restorers, shining a spotlight on the transformative power of the Conservation profession.

Icon is delighted to announce the launch of the Icon Conference 2026 (Icon26), taking place on 24 and 25 June 2026 at the historic Assembly Rooms in EdinburghOver two inspiring days, Icon26 will bring together conservators and heritage professionals to delve into the impact of the conservation profession - on its own practices, the wider heritage sector, and society as a whole.

Icon26 is more than a Conference, it is a chance to:

  • Connect and collaborate with colleagues and thought leaders.
  • Celebrate the achievements of the conservation community.
  • Reflect on how conservation shapes our understanding of cultural heritage.

Call For Papers

We are excited to announce that the deadline for submitting papers for Icon26 has been extended. The new deadline is Monday 18 August at 11:55pm, giving you more time to be part of this inspiring event.

We welcome contributions from the entire conservation community, including private practitioners, professionals in public institutions, early career practitioners, and those engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations.
