Take part in Icon's application to the Kickstart Scheme

The Government's new Kickstart Scheme will provide £2 billion of funding to create thousands of jobs for young people across England, Scotland, and Wales.

28 Sep 2020

Launched in September 2020, the scheme targets young people aged 16 to 24 who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

We know that giving young people the opportunity to experience working in the fascinating and rewarding world of conservation is crucial to ensuring we can nurture, encourage, and inspire the next generation of professional conservators.

This is an important opportunity for the conservation profession to engage with, which is why Icon will be applying as a 'representative body'. This means that we will be applying on behalf of employers in the sector to create at least 30 new jobs throughout 2021.

If your organisation would be interested in taking part, we will be running a meeting to explore the programme in further detail on 7th October 2020 at 2pm.
