Northern Ireland Group Social Evening

An evening for the NI Icon Group to get together and catchup, all new members welcome!

An informal evening to catch up and meet like minded conservators to discuss projects and how to get involved in the NI Icon Group.

Building strong professional networks is one of the most rewarding aspects of being part of the conservation community, and the upcoming Icon NI Group Conservators’ Social Evening is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, make new contacts, and enjoy an informal night out in the heart of Belfast. Whether you are a long-standing member or new to the profession, this gathering offers a relaxed and welcoming environment to share experiences, discuss current projects, exchange ideas, and strengthen the connections that support our work across Northern Ireland. Conservation can often be a busy and demanding profession, making it all the more important to take time to meet with peers, celebrate successes, and learn from one another outside of formal meetings and conferences.

Set in the unique surroundings of The Dirty Onion and Yardbird, the evening promises great conversation, a friendly atmosphere, and the chance to catch up with fellow conservators from a wide range of specialisms.

We encourage all Icon NI members to come along, bring their enthusiasm, and join us for an enjoyable evening of networking, conversation, and camaraderie. These informal gatherings play an important role in strengthening our professional community and fostering collaboration across museums, archives, libraries, historic houses, and heritage organisations.
