When Every Detail Matters
The same practice transfers directly to museums, galleries, historic houses, archives and private collections. The modular system is brought on location, filming takes place under the custodian's supervision, and files are delivered in formats suited to long term storage.
The record serves two purposes. As an archive, a single film captures form, surface, colour, wear, repairs, inscriptions and hallmarks in one continuous, navigable document, without the gaps left by stills. As a condition report, the film is the reference against which later change is measured, after a loan, transit or treatment.
