Re-moistenable Tissue for Conservation at Scale

Learn how to make re-moistenable tissue for fast and scalable repairs!

The National Archives’ (TNA) Conservation for Imaging team works across multiple large-scale imaging projects that require conservation methods that are scalable, efficient, and appropriate.

In this workshop, participants will learn about our approaches to repair using re-moistenable tissue, our methodologies, and take part in a practical workshop where they will have the chance to prepare and test their own re-moistenable tissue.

By the end of the workshop participants will come away with an understanding of the benefits remoistenable tissue can provide in varied contexts, and confidence in how to make their own. This introductory workshop is for anyone who wants to familiarise themselves with or refresh their knowledge on this topic.

We welcome emerging conservators, or private practitioners interested in streamlining their own processes.
