Archaeological Leather Group Virtual Lab Tour

Virtual tour of the new Leather Conservation Centre (LCC) premises in Leicester with Rosie Bolton.

The Leather Conservation Centre (LCC) moved to new premises in Leicester in 2025 after several years in temporary accommodation. During this virtual studio tour, Rosie Bolton (Head of Centre) will lead us through the opportunities provided by the new space and discuss various projects taking place at the centre.

LCC is a globally unique heritage institution, set up as a charity in 1978 with the aim to preserve leather heritage. The team take a holistic approach to preservation, focusing not only on conserving historic objects but also the intangible heritage and skills which produced them, working across research, conservation and education, including the newly announced Conservation of Leather, Skin and Related Materials book.
