Over the past forty years, Simon Gillespie Studio has a grown a reputation worldwide for its high standards of work treating some of the finest works of art in private and public collections.
Simon and his team's experience covers artworks from the early Renaissance, including paintings by Raphael, through Artemisia Gentileschi, van Dyck and Gainsborough to modern great masters such as Lucian Freud, Pablo Picasso, Damien Hirst, and living artists including Banksy and many more. Based in London, in 2025 the studio moved to larger premises near to Oval, where our team of conservators enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and have space to treat large-scale artworks.
You may recognise Simon from the well-loved BBC4 television programme 'Britain's Lost Masterpieces' where he and art historian Bendor Grosvenor uncover some of the nation's overlooked treasures. Our studio’s work on this programme has made it possible to reattribute artworks to Botticelli, Rubens, Rembrandt, Bruegel, Titian and others.
