Results of Icon's Board elections

Another cycle of Icon’s Board elections is now behind us – and the results are in!

By the 15th September deadline, we received four valid nominations for six available vacancies.

This means there is no need for an election – so we can now announce our new Trustees!

Congratulations to new Trustees Prof Anita Quye, Michelle Rheeston and Nic Boyes ACR.

And congratulations to our returning champion, Claire Fry ACR, who has won a second term on the Board.

All our elected and re-elected Trustees will officially commence their terms at the close of Icon’s AGM on 1st December.

New horizons for Icon’s Chair, James Grierson

Alongside these developments, sad news from Icon’s Chair of the Board, James Grierson, who has decided not to stand for a second term.  ‘I am now looking to gradually simplify my commitments,’ he explained in his resignation statement – having realised time required across all of his voluntary roles amounted to more than a full-time job. Icon’s Board of Trustees is now at work to recruit a replacement for him.

News from Icon’s Co-options Recruitment

In the meantime, Icon’s Board co-options have also been proceeding at pace. With vacancies for two co-opted Trustees this year, Icon had an extremely strong response to the advertisement with more than twenty five applications for the role.  The first day of interviews has already taken place, and the results will be known towards the end of the month.
