Professional Inactivity Policy (November 2025)

Icon recognises the importance of supporting its members who are professionally inactive. This policy details Icon’s approach to supporting its members who are professionally inactive, whilst allowing them to maintain contact with the conservation profession. 

Members who are professionally inactive are entitled to a 50% reduction in their membership fees. Members must apply on an annual basis for a period of up to five years.

Accredited members will be exempt from the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recall process for the period of their registered professional inactivity.

Members on low income or unemployed, but actively seeking employment, are not able to this policy, however they may be eligible for concessionary membership rates.
