Join Icon's Board of Trustees and make a difference for conservation
Nominations for Icon’s 2026 Board elections opened on 13 July 2026, when notifications were emailed to member inboxes.
Being a Trustee is a truly rewarding experience. As a member of Icon’s Board you’ll contribute to the strategic leadership of Icon, working alongside other elected members and coopted Trustees from a wide range of professions.
Trustees are asked to commit to four board meetings, one strategic planning day and some additional committee meetings each year. The annual strategic planning day and one board meeting are held in person, with all other meetings held online via Teams. To be an effective Trustee, candidates must be enthusiastic, keen to collaborate and express their views on the strategic direction of the organisation.
There are two vacancies for election in this year’s Board elections. One is an unreserved seat and one is the representative seat for Northern Ireland. If you hold Accredited, Pathway, Associate, or Early Career membership, then you’re eligible to stand for election.
If you, or someone you know has a strong vision for the future of Icon, please encourage them to submit a nomination by the closing date of 16 August 2026, 11:59pm.
