I am a book & paper conservator based in York with over 35 years’ experience working for libraries & archives including Trinity College Dublin, Tyne & Wear Archives & the universities of Durham & York.
I have been self-employed since 2013 - current clients include the National Trust, the Brotherton Library, Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Leeds Library, Worksop Priory & private clients.
Services include:
- Conservation of books bound in leather, cloth, paper & vellum
- Paper & parchment repair
- Book-boxes, slipcases & enclosures
- Book-mounts for exhibition
Rate £60 per hour. Materials will be charged for. First consultation & estimate usually free of charge. Documentation charged at the hourly rate. Travel charged at the hourly rate plus mileage.
