About the Role
  • Carry out conservation and imaging prep work as required
  • Undertake document capture
  •  Carrying out complex conservation as required, e.g mould treatment.
  • Carrying out regular quality assurance of the document prep work of Digitisation Technicians.
  • Training new and existing Digitisation Technicians and ensuring all required training is complete and to the required standards.
  • Manage and update bespoke training
  • Purchase tools and materials
  • Liaising with TNA staff as needed
    • Conservation
    • Facilities
    • Productions
  • Assisting in day-to-day operations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
About You
  • MA in Paper Conservation. A graduate from a recognised conservation or cultural heritage programme or appropriate work experience with a high standard of conservation knowledge, skill and practice beyond initial training with a demonstrable expertise in the preparation of collections for digitisation
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge in the treatment and preservation of historic paper-based collection
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning, and organisational skills, attention to detail with dedicated follow-up
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an efficient manner
  • Experience and commitment to working in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
