The Idlewild Trust provides funding up to £7,000 for the conservation of historically important objects and works of art held in museums, galleries, historic buildings and their grounds.
The Idlewild Trust Conservation Grants
The Idlewild Trust Conservations Grants support the conservation of cultural heritage of recognized national and international importance in museums, libraries, galleries, historic buildings, or landscapes accessible to the public.
The Idlewild Trust will give priority to projects that include a knowledge sharing element as an outcome of the project, for example a webinar, lecture, or published article, or a public engagement activity that helps to improve the public understanding of conservation practice.
A conservation report from an independent, accredited conservator must be provided with your application. They further welcome collaborative interdisciplinary projects.

Applications for round 2 open on Monday 1 December 2025 and close on Friday 13 February 2025 at 12pm.
