Chroma Conservation, led by Marta Sledz and Ryan John Wilson, will be leading a tour of the State Rooms following completion of their restoration over recent years which has included conservation of the applied decoration within the Temple Room and State dining room, along with Drawing Room, North Hall and Saxon Library, Music Room, Blue Room and Marble Saloon.
TPF have also arranged for a guided tour by the curator of the Soane Library and East Staircase.
The East Staircase has been the focus of years long conservation and investigation following works to conserve the painting of Fame & Victory by F Sleter and subsequent discovery of the grisaille wall paintings to the staircase and landing, now part of a PhD study by Rhiannon Clarricoates ACR from Lincoln Conservation, who will also be available to speak about the research. There will be a chance to see students from Lincoln University undertaking work.
This visit will offer the chance to see the recently conserved State Rooms and access to the East Staircase, often off limits to visitors.
The visit will include refreshments upon arrival and a light lunch in the dining room.

Due to a limited group size, TPF members will be given initial priority with booking available to non-members from the 28th September 2026.
