Talks and Tour at Blenheim Palace

A site visit including scaffolding tour of the wall paintings

Please join us at Blenheim Palace!

For three 30 mins talks about:

1. The £12million roof replacement project (Kelly O'Driscoll, Head of Built Heritage, Blenheim Palace)
2. Conservation of the Great Hall & Saloon Wall Paintings (Lizzie Woolley, Opus Conservation)
3. The stones of Blenheim (Ruth Siddall, Geologist).

Talks will be followed by a tour of the interior scaffoldings, where Opus Conservation are currently conserving the wall paintings.

Afterwards delegates may tour the house and gardens free of charge.

Tea, coffee and cake will be served – let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you book your ticket.

Access

Please note that access to the conference room is via a staircase, followed by a tour on scaffold that also requires stair and ladder access. Anyone with accessibility concerns may find this unsuitable; please share any concerns that you have with us ([email protected]).

This is a visit to a working site – please bring your own hard hat, steel toes caps and hi vis vest if you have them. A supply will be made available on the day.
