Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society invites you, on Thursday 22nd January on Zoom, for our annual lecture with Hans van Lemmen which is free to join and open to all. Hans is the President of TACS and has written widely on the subject of tiles and architectural ceramics including the British Museum's publication '5000 years of tiles'.
This year's lecture, 'Printed Tiles Galore: the mass production and applications of VIctorian transfer printed tiles' will examine the impressive output of transfer printed tiles during the Victorian age, including production methods, manufacturers and designers as well as the varied applications of these tiles in Victorian architecture and furniture.
