Icon26 Tour: Monitoring & mounting the Treasures of the National Library of Scotland

Join the Conservation team at the National Library of Scotland for a tour of the Library’s Treasures exhibition and gain an insight into their use of LoRaWAN Environmental monitoring equipment and sustainable approaches to mount making.

This session will provide delegates with an opportunity to discuss the Library’s transition away from using Acrylic/PETG book cradles in favour of boxboard, the deployment of discreet monitoring equipment and its integration into display mounts.

Tours will take place in the Library’s Treasures gallery, a semi- permanent exhibition which showcases items from the Library's vast collections, spanning centuries of Scotland's cultural heritage.
