Icon Archaeology Group
The Icon Archaeology Group will be hosted by Gretel Evans of AOC Archaeology at their Edinburgh base. Join us for a presentation on best practice in conservation of archaeological assemblages and a tour of the AOC facilities. The tour will feature viewing of objects/assemblages currently in treatment in the lab (subject to client approval) followed by tea and biscuits and a chance for discussion and networking.

Gretel Evans MA ACR is an Associate Director of AOC Archaeology and manages their Conservation Department. After studying Archaeology at UCL she trained as a Conservator at Durham University and has since worked in Scotland for nearly 30 years at AOC, National Museums Scotland, and Glasgow Museums as well as undertaking a winter and a summer season in Antarctica on the Ross Sea Heritage Restoration Project. Gretel has been an Accreditation Assessor and is now a Specialist Advisor, as well as a Mentor for the ICON PACR process.
