What is Big Stuff?
Big Stuff Heritage brings together a diverse community of museum professionals, academics, consultants, contractors, volunteers, and private owners, all united by a shared passion for technological and industrial heritage. Every three years, this global community gathers at the Big Stuff Conference. This year, the conference will be held at the Museum of Industry in Ghent, Belgium.
Big Stuff 2025
The Big Stuff 2025 conference will take place in October 2025. It will focus on the symbiotic relationship between skills and machinery, exploring effective methods for passing on critical and endangered knowledge to future generations.
How do we teach hand skills to a generation brought up on automation?
And how do we connect older Big Stuff to important new themes such as lower carbon emissions, reduced pollution, circular re-use, and the right to repair?
