Church Monuments Society: Study Day at Bottesford Church, Leicestershire

Study one of the largest and finest collections of funerary monuments anywhere in England! (c.1300 to the later 17th century).

Bottesford church contains one of the largest and finest collections of funerary monuments anywhere in England ranging in date from c.1300 to the later 17th century, with many monuments attributed to the Earls of Rutland.  The program for the day will start at 11.00am and finish around 4.00pm.  The speakers on the day will be Adam White, Jean Wilson and Mark Downing.  National Rail serves Bottesford from both Nottingham and Grantham, but with an infrequent service.  The cost, including coffee and tea on arrival is £15.  Lunch is not included but there are amenities nearby.
