Archaeology Group: Academic Poster Design Seminar

Learn and build on your poster design skills during this half-day seminar

Thinking of presenting at a conference but don’t know where to start?

Submitting a poster is a great way to share a project with a wider audience and get your foot in the conference door. For early career professionals this can be a daunting step – that’s why the Icon Archaeology Group are hosting a seminar about academic posters, aimed at students and emerging professionals. The seminar will provide participants with a stronger skillset and confidence in translating their work into a poster.

This will be a hybrid event, held both on zoom and in-person at the Museum of London. Kathryn Everson will be giving a talk about the basics of designing and formatting scientific posters. We will then hear from conservators who have made academic posters. Along with their experience of submitting abstracts and following conference guidelines, you’ll get some conservation-specific tips and tricks on poster design.
