The day's events will start with a welcome drink at 10am. Also included in the day will be our AGM, as well as a light lunch (vegetarian options included, vegan or other dietary requirements available upon request), which will be served in the elegant dining room, one of Hampstead’s most atmospheric and historic settings. Graduate
Tamsin Ferguson graduated from Durham University in 2024 with an MA in Conservation of Archaeological and Museum Objects, after earning a BA in History and Ancient History from the University of Exeter. She has developed her practical skills through placements at the Museum of London, undertaking remedial conservation on a wide range of materials including ceramics, glass, leather, wood, and waterlogged ivory. Tamsin has also gained valuable experience working and volunteering at the National Trust’s Dunster Castle.
Onsite Manager, Rieveley Ceramics
Alex Haycock is the Onsite Manager at Rieveley Ceramics, where he has worked for seven years. He holds a Diploma in Conservation Practice, completed through a module-based course administered by the V&A between 2018 and 2020. Alex specialises in the onsite management and delivery of complex tiling restoration and conservation projects.
Lead Conservator, Rieveley Ceramics
Michael Rieveley is Lead Conservator at Rieveley Ceramics. After earning a BA in Fine Art from Liverpool, he began his career in pottery design and manufacturing before specialising in the conservation and restoration of ceramic tiling. In 1999, he founded Rieveley Ceramics Conservation and Restoration, where he has led numerous significant heritage projects. In September 2024, he was appointed Chair of The Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society.
Graduate
Nicole Sayre is a recent graduate of West Dean College, where she completed an MA in Conservation Studies (Ceramics and Related Materials) in 2024, following a Graduate Diploma in the same subject in 2023. She has an Undergraduate Certificate in Archaeology of the Ancient World from the University of Cambridge (2021) and a BA in Studio Arts with coursework in Archaeology from California State University, Channel Islands (2017). Nicole completed conservation internships at the Stanley Arts Centre in London and at the National Trust’s Royal Oak Foundation Conservation Studio.
