Employers & funders - Icon encourages you to consider:

Creating an Icon Internship in preference to a short contract post or entry-level job

If you are applying for a grant for a major project that involves conservation work:

Building an Icon conservation Internship into your project grant application

Benefits include:

  • Value for money - Icon's bursaries currently do not attract Income Tax and you would not pay employer costs to run an internship through Icon
  • Reduced administration - Icon can take care of recruitment and monitoring, Icon's Interns work to a framework linked to PACR standards
  • Added educational value for the individual appointed - Icon Interns share unique networking and training opportunities across the UK
