Icon Internships - find out about new opportunities for work-based learning!

elainetolley.jpg

Icon Internship involves work-based learning alongside experienced practitioners in the UK. Internships help supplement formal academic training and can also provide new entry routes into the profession. The Heritage Lottery Fund granted Icon £1.5 Million in 2005 and 2009 to help 74 new conservators launch their careers. Icon has gone on to use the HLF framework to work with other grant-making bodies and employers to offer additional Icon Internships.

Icon is committed to promoting and developing work-based learning

All Icon internships are fully paid, supported and linked to professional body standards. Icon campaigns to ensure that all internships in the sector comply with the standards and framework that HLF's support has allowed us to develop.
