We believe that the interests of stained glass conservation in Britain are best served by a specialist Stained Glass Group within Icon. We have therefore decided to remain separate from the larger Glass & Ceramics and other groups, as the range of techniques, materials used and problems encountered in this specific art form are often varied and unique. We consider it important to pass information and current research on to members of the Stained Glass Group and the wider stained glass community, by means of regular conferences and written reports.

Vidimus Members may be interested in this on-line magazine devoted to medieval stained glass. Vidimus appears monthly and subscription is free. As the website says: "We want to share our enthusiasm for this unique art by bringing readers news, and reporting on exhibitions, events, books and websites. Every month brings an exclusive feature article, and each edition also includes a detailed examination of a single panel of glass, our Panel of the Month. As a group, these panels will provide insights into all sorts of stained-glass issues, and will constitute an invaluable teaching and learning resource."
