The Icon Ethnography Group is running a 3-day practical workshop on the conservation of baskets and related material. The workshop is led by Sherry Doyal and Barbara Wills in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. This will be a unique opportunity to carry out conservation treatments on baskets as well as acquire expert skills and techniques from two extremely knowledgeable and experienced conservators.

Conservators will be given priority.

One Day Conference:
A one-day event discussing the conservation, construction and collection care issues of basketry. Speakers from national and international museums and institutions.  Speakers will cover relevant conservation treatment issues and solutions as well as the role of conservators in collaboration with indigenous communities.
