International Disaster Risk Reduction Day event. How can conservation practices align with climate mitigation and adaptation?
Disaster Risk Reduction is an approach to actively managing disaster risk, building resilience and capacity, and reducing vulnerability and exposure to hazards. This is closely related to sustainable development, which aims to create a more harmonious relationship between social, environmental and economic considerations.
This webinar will explore the great need for museums, including conservators, to be part of the transition to a low or zero carbon future, and how they can use the Sustainable Development Goals and Disaster Risk Reduction approaches to support their actions to do so.
